Hockey Haiku

I was originally going to post a simple picture of my mother, Helen, but technical difficulties that excede my technical abilities arose and this was the best alternative I could come up with on the spur of the moment.  So, with my sincerest apologies to poets and hockey fans everywhere:

The puck drops in spring.
Sixteen battle with sweat and blood.
One drinks from the Cup.

  1. I love the haiku. I don't know if it was supposed to be funny, but I started laughing because I imagined a small boy stealing the cup to get a drink, while the hockey players were fighting to win it!

  2. I like that!

I'm terrible at writing haiku, but I definitely appreciate anyone else that can.
